lol, made me chuckle. It's a pet peeve of mine how often programmers argue from their niche perspective without even attempting to think of things from a broader or different perspective. It's especially annoying when it goes from

Eww. No, it behaves as you described. Which is exactly what I want. I utterly despise any website that hijacks my scroll wheel to “complete full transitions”. YMMV.

We may just have to disagree on this one. The fact that some things benefit from a spec does not mean that all do things do. Almost everything defined by the C++ committee since 2014 is awful. The specs, once published, are unable to evolve

I use Yelp and Google Reviews pretty regularly. If a restaurant has a bad score it might still be good. If it has a good score with lots of ratings then it's probably pretty decent.

No, there are just 3 relevant standard implementations. There are numerous independent libraries that perform very similar but non-conformant functionality. My complaint is that the C++ standards committee should, when possible, release cod

Hard, hard disagree. If you want to support different implementation strategies it needs to be far more piecemeal. Not all or nothing. I mean there's only 3 meaningful implementation - libstdc++, libc++, and MSVC. And they aren't

Disagree. If I put my pinky on A for ESDF then I have to rotate my wrist enough such that pressing E is uncomfortable. The natural resting place for my pinky with WASD is on shift, not tab. CTRL is trivial to reach. Tab is more awkward.

Strong agree. At least on Windows you can setup Symbol Server + Source Indexing to achieve the same result. Once upon a time I wrote a small tool that can embed full source code into PDBs. I doubt anyone has ever used it though. For proprie
