In Uruguay in the 1980s there was no TV before 10am. I liked watching cartoons a lot, but I'm glad this made me do more interesting stuff in the mornings.

Devs get Oracle's best side. They don't know how lucky they are. PL/SQL is a fine language and Oracle throws everything and the kitchen sink into the APIs available inside the database. As a sysadmin/dba I get to handle

If you take the list of largest cities in China and google them from largest down, you'll find an incredible number of cities that just look like they're in the future.

There was an Apple II clone in Brazil that used the same design. It was called TK2000. I never found out why they copied the design of a completely different machine. I guess they just liked it.

Brazil was in constant economic chaos in the 80s and 90s, so the banking system invested a lot in automation and communications. I actually think it took too long for Pix to be invented. The piping was all there. Somebody just had to have t

I keep a few bills in my wallet, but I hardly ever carry it around. Everybody accepts cards and Pix. Even beggars on the street use pix. If I revert back to using public transport I will probably have a use for cash, but that's the onl
