True, but the chosen measure is going to be the lowest inflation imaginable since it relates strongly the global price of goods instead of services cost. Poor people actually can't escape service costs and pay for a lot more (seemingly

This is about porting a distribution to hardware. Nixos is really great at bootstrapping/rebuilding a system against your own clone of nixpkgs. The complaints of the article ends with any Linux distribution and docker. I'm not sur

With 24GB, I rarely needed it all, but a good portion was cache/buffer, I.e. 10GB. Of course you can just swap to SSD and get pretty much the same performance, until you don't..

The manufacturer/google installed apps really undermine what little trust I have in Android security. If you do a normal OS update, the old version is gone. With these playstore things, ancient versions are sitting in storage waiting t

Sounds like cherry picking to me. Doctors know if you have been vaccinated when making this decision. I.e. perhaps 90% of people with 1 dose who are admitted are serious enough to need intensive care vs a small percentage of non-vaccinated

The irony is that given that they are such low margin customers, it is likely that a few semiconductor businesses will not end up honoring long term supply guarantees (i.e. by selling off the division), so car manufacturers might not be abl

We could now reduce the development cycle to weeks and run a vaccination to less people than a clinical trial. That would be less risky than taking longer and needing to vaccinate 8 billion people with a vaccine.

If people are arguing over what I meant, this system is the one I was thinking of. The US already implemented tax penalties on no-coverage and could adapt them to be auto-enrollement in basic coverage at a high deductible. I have nothing ag

If group pricing were eliminated and levels of coverage standardized for a universal open enrollment period then pricing would be consumer oriented and most would be extremely competitive. HR people can only get numbers from a small number
