Yes, but that has nothing to do with the new cases for the last 10 years. Sexual assault isn't where the cases are coming from.

Use your network, not LinkedIn, to find jobs. But set up a LinkedIn profile. LinkedIn is the lubricant of "hey, my friend X is looking - here's his linkedin" in a way that "hey ..., here's his personal website"

If they didn't seem so stupid, you'd think the biometrics collection thing was the point, but I actually think they're just so dumb it's not even that sophisticated a scam.

And your business model is to make big money from local non-profits? Come on. This is just sad.

Missing: how unbelievably bad Ultrix was. I admined a bunch of alpha systems and oh boy did two things stand out. The first was that ultrix was a just bad. Bad, bad, bad. Terrible performance, laggy, just everything bad about vendor Unix of

Maybe for yours. For mine it is excessively junior. Almost exclusively.

This is exactly the problem. You have one remote member and literally everyone has to work around it.

One big problem with blind is that it trends very junior. Much of what’s on there is of little used to people who are older. I actually find most of the comments to be less informed than, say, fuckedcompany.com was back in the day.

For RPGers, this is one of the many elements from that time that show up in "Berlin: The Wicked City" for Call of Cthulhu. It doesn't get the attention that it deserves as a module and setting. Weimar Berlin is practically my

Not everything is about housing, in particular someone choosing to work to 100+ doesn't really have anything to do with housing.

The only way any significant fractions will get off the earth is in the metaphoric sense: they died. The energy required to move any even a trivial population people off the planet is not attainable.

There's no reason to believe this. The training time and cost is so substantial that they are almost certainly building their next release, but it isn't sitting there rotting.

Google _internally_ feels that they are way behind. Forget commenters on HN, literally all of the google employees that I know believe that the company is failing here.

256+ QAM is there but you will almost never see it in practice unless you’re next to the AP. Wifi7 defines up to 4096 so maybe the economics will drive improvements that didn’t land in 6E APs.

Most people aren't going to do that for the standby keys. And while they test out the real keys, they mostly don't go from working to not working because someone did a garbage collection/unused keys pass or failed to update s

Moore's law has blessed all of us with nearly infinite compute relative to systems from a decade ago. Now, that we've relentlessly squandered all of it, well, that's on us.

I agree with this. All they had to do was the bare minimum and actually keep it alive for a few years. This pattern is pretty common in industry. Almost all the huge companies that are winners in technology are those that got on the market
