I feel like the exclusion of the US is the norm in a lot of these rankings just to have that shock factor.

Netflix and Facebook definitely have something similar too especially for newer grads (although the former rarely hires new grads). Amazon just does it in the worst way possible.

Agreed - looks like something very simple to add as a test-case. If not manual, an automated QA process could've easily caught this if it was even remotely robust enough. The steps to reproduce is trivial so I'm shocked.

Is Snap actually dying? I recall there were similar news for Apple, Facebook(debatable on their current state) etc, but they rebounded back up. Maybe this is the time to buy low and make it big (when everyone is doubting them). It'll b

This is fear-mongering. The app is a stub and it doesn't do any tracking. I used to work at an OEM - this is just an agreement that Samsung and Facebook signed.

Where are the technical details on what the bug was and how it was possible? Shouldn't this be disclosed?

I doubt this will make it. hardware certifications are absurdly difficult and costly.

How did AlphaZero lose 6 games? Do we have an analysis of those? I'd love to see what happened.

This definitely requires someone that was lazy independently doing this. This definitely does not reflect a common practice that Samsung does. Someone high up will be heavily punished for this.

You need to understand this is ingrained into their culture. There's no reason for them to step back and think "we should be ashamed" because it's part of your life. It sucks but change will no be easy.

The difficulty is because most of the sentences are written in the passive voice. Readability is also a skillset and this one is very low.

In my area, a lot of them are either free or $1.99, $2.99. (It will vary by demand though). I think my threshold is $2.99 - in some scenarios when I'm extremely sick.

I consider them two different games and I've been a member of Hard Drop for a long time. I used to have Top 100 records on both Sprint (sub 50 seconds) and Ultra, and one day, confidently challenged a top-Classic player to a classic ga

I used to have friends that worked here and told me horror stories about the CEO. I hope this technology works in the future in a reasonable amount of time without such a horrendous leader because it is quite an awesome concept if done prop

Considering PMs are considered mini-CEOs (which I actually don't agree with), this has some reasoning behind it. As a startup founder, knowing what to build is one of the hardest things ever and having a knack at this is valuable.

I read once that they pay over 2M+ USD as an annual salary to entry level employees. I'm sure they're exceptional and talented, but still crazy to think about.

Do the emulator and compiler still require SSDs and 16GB+ RAM to be usable? I love Android Studio but it used to always feel very heavy-weight.
