The point is to see innocence in the scapegoat. They are the victim in some sense of the mad justice of the mobs. Mexicans are scapegoats. Muslims are scapegoats. Rich jews are scapegoats. Let's take the "grabbing by the pussy&quo

Social media has sadly exasperated the effects. Everyone is a target! Every time I see a person being lynched, I can't help but see the mechanism in action. This affects both the sexes, I would say Katie Bouman is the most recent scape

Girard is the greatest philosopher since Nietzsche. His analysis on mimetic desire and the scapegoat mechanism is deeply disturbing and convincing. The #metoo movement is full of scapegoats.

Honestly the only counter argument I can think of is stored procedures, which can get quite hairy. I would still say that stored procedures are still a better hell than ORM. The situation is so bad, I would actually like learn more about fa

Agile is dead. As a subculture the muggles and sociopaths have taken over Agile. I think #NoEstimates is the next cool thing.

Yup. Rewrites are tricky but doable. I think the best way to rewrite is to do it inside out, sorta like DNA replication or gradually move things into micro services of sorts. Porting however is more difficult IMO, like rewriting everything

I made a mistake of mentioning Common Lisp in the same line. Common Lisp has pointers (cons) as well. Hylang doesn't have goto, as Python doesn't have it. Well you can always implement a goto by having 1. A list made of lambdas. L

Call me cynical ... historians, writers and the movies seem to fabricate things up to keep people in a dream. At this point I'm pretty certain there are no "heroes" who "save" the world like Mission Impossible.

This is how it looks in Hylang because it maps onto Python semantics. (for [element (range 1 10)] (print element) (if (= element 5) (break))) I prefer this over Common Lisp because it looks shamelessly imperative.
