I'm still shit at these things, but so far, I seriously cannot understand how hedge funds get away with "shorting", but people doing the same thing in reverse is market manipulation. From this (admittedly naive) POV, this sou

I've worked in environments using the exact approach you described, and it definitely seems like the prevalent workflow using these CMSs. Still doesn't help that most WP sites I've ever seen inevitably were those huge card ca

Ah, I always use the toolbar button rather than the context menu shortcut, so it's a non-issue in my case, as it just will ask me to log-in there. Yeah, that would definitely be a better flow. Maybe I'm just "used" to it

Would we see Intel/Samsung/IBM contribute to the Linux kernel if it wasn't in their self-interest? That's just how business tends to go as a general rule, IMHO. At least, I generally are more surprised to see a company g

There is also an OSS hard-fork of Franz called Ferdi, for anyone interested. Been using it for some time, I don't love nor hate it.

Those are glorified browsers wrapping the web based clients in dedicated "tabs". AFAIK it looks like Beeper hosts a matrix<->service bridge between those platforms, and their client actually unifies messages in a single inbo

When you have one thing to nail and already own a hammer, why go and buy another one? Even if it's not a good one, it's gonna do the job, and be the least trouble.

I wouldn't call having only a subset of system calls, no containerization, no background services, no proper init system, no kernel modules, "not all that limited". But maybe that's just my use case.
