It does produce useful mutations though. The output is stochastic and humans are actively deciding what content to consume. Hence the model will continue to produce novel content and accommodate human preference. Humanity isn’t much differe

Yeah, I'm in Durham near Southpoint. If you're not trying to be in Downtown, it's still affordable. Two bedrooms, two bath. But beware, the universe is trying to move here.

That's the risk free rate. Go look at other debt instruments. You can find yields on corporate bonds from solid companies in the 10+ range (Citrix), mortgage baskets go even as high as 16%.

Burry is subtly wrong, and I'll tell you why. The biggest bubble for the past 20 years has been in bonds. Stocks went along for the ride. When you can't get a reasonable return on debt, you'll be fine paying for a zero coupon

It's still an oasis relative to the hubs. Gas is $3.50, you can get a condo for $150K. There are trees and flowers. People are nice.

I've posted this elsewhere, but I'll repeat it. First they send your work home, and then they send it next door. Corporate learned during COVID that the metro premium isn't worth it any more. These layoff announcements--which

I'll go out on a limb and say it's not entirely the specific medium's fault. It's the people. It did not used to be this bad with the exception of 4chan (of course), and the state of discourse in life has degraded so far

Another really cool toy we need to start hacking is the Sony FES U [0]. This thing has e-ink on its strap, and it runs Free RTOS. It's the sickest watch concept I've seen in years. [0]: https://fashion-entertainments.co

No it's not. I know this is the narrative being pushed, but this is not a real problem. Remember, the US government pumped out $3T that's still circulating, and there was record borrowing at ZIRP for bonds with 30 year duration. T

I'm looking forward to the day when there's an open source version of these models. I am not interested in making a gazillion API calls to a third-party vendor about how I'm introspecting into my own reports.
