I have too much stuff. Most people in America do. In fact, the poorer people are, the more stuff they seem to have. Hardly anyone is so poor that they can't afford a front yard full of old cars. Wow, Paul, you really don't understand what

The script syntax is less intuitive than javascript and doesn't save that many lines, so I'm not sure it's something I'd ever use.

Funny that they expect a contest partially judged by a gaming organization, which is also arguably one of the shadiest money makers on the web, to produce anything of social value. Not only are the people making the decisions not concerned

I've had clients ask me a question and say, "I don't want to know how, just if it is possible?" and I suppose because I think they think it is really hard, I just tell them how to do it, it's like 2 clicks. But then half an hour later the

Yep, that's right, that's true too. If you type "Jury trial" into bing, it #2's "in civil cases" and for that you get: U.S. Constitution extend the rights to trial by jury to include the right to jury trial for both criminal and

Sorry, I deleted that without knowing you were composing a reply. Metaphysical. I guess we are at that edge with metaphysics where we know there's a lot out there we don't know and we have to decide if we want to investigate it or not. I

Sometimes, in conversations with others, I hear them say with complete confidence stuff that I know is total crap. It's like I just can't get over how absolutely wrong they are and yet how absolutely right they believe they are. So I sta

If Google gave employees even just 20% of profits generated from the products they build or prototype, that system would fully work for everyone.

OT: Is there a literary term for the situation where something's greatest strength is also that thing's greatest weakness? Like an Achilles heel, except the Achilles heel isn't also a strength. It applies here, because the 140 char limit

yep, that's exactly what i think too. Google needs real time search and the best way to do that is to have the data on their lightning machines. If it's not on their lightning machines, then the content owner (twitter, facebook, etc) is th

It's probably selection bias. It's easy to find people you want to find on the internet, but look around you in the real world. If you aren't in silicon valley, it's very difficult to find entrepreneurs and it's even harder to find them o

I think this is an excellent move. I used Opera for a long time, but found it to be too buggy so I stopped and DragonFly takes a long time to load and isn't as good as FireFly, so I just stopped using Opera, but I do like it.
