What are the biggest overcomplicating issues with something like the Nissan Leaf? Especially on something like a 2018-2025 S trim?

The actual memorandum is shorter than the Wikipedia article about it. The English-language portion is literally only three pages of double spaced text. https://treaties.un.org/doc/Publication/UNTS/Volume%2030

Ah, for a radiator, you can use both sides; one side exposed to the solar system north, and the other side facing south. So the 1.55 km on a side gets reduce by a factor of sqrt(2), to 1.1 km on a side.

I'm surprised it is so low. Maybe because it is combining Traditional TV and Streaming into one category? "watching traditional TV is set to collapse to just 1 hour and 17 minutes." ...I wonder how this breaks down. Is most

Interestingly enough, to get 1 GWe, using 30% efficient PV panels and assuming 1360 W/m^2 insolation, you'd also need ~2.5e6 m^2 of PV panels.

What is a good rejection temperature to use for medium earth orbit? Assuming you would orient your radiator normal to the incoming light from the sun, and normal to the earth-shine/earth-radiation. And in the shade from your PV panel

The Wayback Machine has been broken for me for about a month or so. Is that the case for everyone? Like when you stick in a URL, it just goes to a "landing page" that says: "The Wayback Machine is an initiative of the Inter

Has anyone ever deployed a heat pump in orbit to increase the radiator temperature? T^4 is a pretty steep curve. If your usual rejection temperature was 77 C / 350 K, and you could bump that up to 227 C / 500K, your radiator goe

So skip the communication, and just have the one probe do the gravity assist to get headed back to earth with the data it collected.

Hmm. Seems like you are you multiplying 5 years by 33% of light speed to come up with 1.65 light years? I apparently didn't explain well enough. The 5 years is for the first batch of probes to gather data over an extended period of

Since momentum is conserved, why not just have a 2 of the 1 g probes strapped to each other with a spring in between. When you need a course correction at 100 AU out (or whatever). The probes calculate how much of a correction is needed,

Don't forget that the original Leaf pack was only 24 kWh. So if you assume a ~1000 full-equivalent-charge-cycles lifespan, then the large Gen2 62 kWh pack will live 2.5 times longer than an original 24 kWh pack. If you average 3.5 m
