I've only given up trying to understand a system once. It was when I was handed over an application that used stored procedures for everything. Including recursive stored procedures... The rest could be figured out, but they were just

I like this idea and have been wondering about it. Right now it is considered normal for every company to keep personal data, but what if it was forbidden to store anything for longer than say 10 minutes and it is only allowed to keep anyth

Why bother with quantum physics if classical physics works for most things we need?

Is it because less heat escapes from the boiler or the burning is more efficient?

Maybe true, but it could also be true that the ones who are smart enough to maintain it will leave and the ones who aren't will stay.

Thank you! This works great as well for my purposes: > a = new Uint16Array(1) Uint16Array(1) [ 0 ] > a[0] 0 > a[0] = a[0] + 65537 65537 > a[0] 1

Thank you! This does exactly what I meant. I think this is the best solution for my use-cases. It even handles floating point operations to a correctly, something I didn't expect.

My favourite way of handling angles was always with either unsigned char or 16bit unsigned int that was treated as 1/nth of turn. Usually in these cases cos/sin tables were pre-calculated for speed, although that need went away to

This looks great, exactly what I meant. I'm not in US, and I've never seen any similar warnings on any medication unfortunately.

I agree, it would be nice to have boxes of medication come with obvious large prints in style "grapefruit + this medicine = DEATH, tomato juice + this medicine = VOMIT FOR DAYS, YAY". It seems that the most deadly things should be

No worries, although strangely enough, the one I was reading is not on any of the additional pages neither. Who knows, maybe the user deleted it later. Not a big deal. Thank you for looking into it.

I always write e-mail too. Perhaps because in my native language the word "email" means "enamel" and it feels like it would be a strange thing to send somebody.

For me, it's good, because I like quite soft and low keys. They still do a mild click and it feels obvious if a key is pressed, but it's not pronounced like on higher-key/mechanical keyboards. What I personally like is that t

I use a slimbook with Manjaro/i3, and it's fast. Far more performant than Macbook Pro 2017 13-inch 16GB with iOS I have to use at work (a bit older hardware to be fair) and 1/2 in price. No freezing, can run PyCharm, VSCode

First, see a therapist. Second, especially if the therapist recommends it, and they probably will given what you're telling, see a good psychiatrist. If they are any good, they'll request blood tests, not only prescribe something.
