Being from EU with decent contact to EU parliament... EU officials really don’t need much encouragement. The passion to regulate everything burns deeply.

And yet, when the subject boils down to people and culture, testing is slow, complicated and unrewarding. Results need a lot of variable elimination and are rarely used for practical decision making. This applies to most “people” subjects.

I store my TOTP in 1Password... I think it's still more secure than SMS (because to restore 1Password vault you also need a Secret, not only your password) and so much more convenient than a separate app, because 1Password auto-copies

What an arrogant take on the impact of Slack from Butterfield. Even if he says that Slack is "not about tech but about making work happen", there has been countless of other programs that, while being "tech", made work h

Consider replacing "literally" with "practically" or something similar in phrases like these. I have seen first-hand how much of the business can run on Slack. Yet, if it's gone one day, companies would survive.

Hoping to be wrong, checked the data. It's been about a year for iOS 12 and Android Pie. According to the latest numbers, iOS 12 is at 84% [1] and Android Pie is at 27% [2]. I also don't think that waiting 3 years will push Pie pe

I believe you do have to be the author to add "Show HN". Show HN indicates that the maker is present in the thread. If we lose this distinction, Show HN becomes quite meaningless as a prefix.
