Do you mark Bin 2 as spam? I tend to, but not sure if it’s a good idea.

What I mean to say is that you should take what he's saying as "talking aloud" and not as any concrete prognosis, even if he makes it sound that way. Then it's fun.

He tends to share his ideas publicly before they are "verified with reality", which leads to a lot of them being late, over-promised under-delivered, etc. But if you take his statements as "thinking aloud", I much prefer

Headline implies that Apple sued Corellium because of their CSAM research, but that's not at all related. This is quite clickbaity.

It was cheaper than licensing a couple of fonts we liked. So we asked the designer of one of these fonts to tweak their font to our brand, and license as new IP under new name. Because it wasn't entirely "from scratch" the pr

Really great font. I loved Helvetica, Helvetica Now was a great extension, but was just so many files, and this is a great fix to the problem. I would have liked slant to be yet another variable instead of just two variations, but this is s

Both Netflix[0] and the company I worked at designed custom fonts to _save_ money. As other comment threads say, it's a standard practice to license by pageviews, and it can be difficult to negotiate. Alternative: just have your own cu

That's why I appreciate that a rationality website is called LessWrong. Of course you can't be perfectly rational, but you can be less wrong.

I think that's a bit too paranoid of a take. Apple loudly and publicly claim these facts (about data not leaving your device, and sync being end-to-end encrypted). It is one of the most scrutinised companies (see every -gate and even G

Lithuania, around €10/month for everything unlimited. Granted, we have some of the cheapest mobile plans in Europe, but I just can't imagine paying my entire plan's price just for 1 GB.

Last I heard, Dai was backed over-collateralized crypto, like ETH. Even Coinbase says so: > Unlike centralized stablecoins, DAI isn't backed by US dollars in a bank account. Instead, it’s backed by collateral on the Maker platform.

This article mentions that a troll is getting ad revenue. Which makes me assume that the author would like to benefit from ad revenue themselves. Do any alternatives exist in that space? Facebook's revenue share and copyright detection

All “true” L2s (Optimisitc, zk) use ETH as the currency to pay the fees. Polygon can’t do that because they want to maintain value of their own token. I just can’t see any future in that.

I've seen stats for a couple of the biggest VPNs. Massive majority of their traffic is just switching geolocation restrictions (US Netflix and similar). They don't tend to advertise that. Some do, but it's not their main mess

The main thing is that you can edit visually, and changes are reflected in code. So it goes in both directions. Editor + Live Reload only goes in one direction.

It's a browser based tool. I'm not sure what you mean by "Doesn't really look ready or supported out of the box for M1 Macbooks". JavaScript cannot target chip architectures, AFAIK.

It speaks volumes that Google allows many ad blocking extensions in Chrome Web Store, but blocked an extension that was doing exactly that: https://adnauseam.io/free-adnauseam.html

I don't remember reading any articles about leaked Google accounts. Media is really distorting the reality when it covers every little misstep by Apple, and ignore much larger issues when it happens to other companies.
