Some critique towards design: - Too many different fonts. Three typefaces (seems like League Gothic, Arial and some rounded one) and four fonts (multiple widths for that rounded). Use two typefaces at most, and create strong identity with t

Could you explain? Do you suggest using some kind of CG or greenscreen, or what?

Adobe being first didn't impress me much, Twitter made me curious, and I was extremely impressed by Steve Jobs, Apple, BP and Nike.

I've been using a similar technique to smoothly change color of a logo: - There was an element with background-image being a PNG with solid-colored background and transparent cut-out of a logo. - background-color CSS property was animated w

Yes, but they are more than 4 times as expensive, and most of their fonts are not optimized for the web (unlike Typekit's).

I have some conflicted feelings. On one hand, I'm happy for Typekit team, if everything turns out the way they hope. Possible integration with Photoshop / DreamWeaver could help bring better fonts to the web, help them grow, invite more typ

US only. Well, I kind of knew it before even hitting FAQ. A bit of a rant here, but it's crazily difficult to do so many interesting things when you don't live in top-20 country (Lithuania here) Stripe? Nope. BrainTree? Nope. Recurly? Nope.

It misses one huge disadvantage: lack of pixel-level control. There is no way to have really sharp and nice edges on TTF icons, they look all smudgy and just not up to good designer's standards, especially at small sizes.

I never start designing website before I get final version of all copy. That's the rule. No placeholders. No quick drafts either. Web is all about type and words, I do pay a lot of attention how I present them, and I need to know what they

My suggestions on pricing: - severely limit free plan, to maybe 2 users, 200MB - make currently free plan quite cheap, maybe $20, so it would appeal more to small businesses. Everything else, especially the design, is very professional, and

Copying the core aesthetics, while glaring over the details that actually make Lion look good. Especially the progress bar: sure, it does look a bit like Lion's but it absolutely lacks the subtle colors and shades.
