This resonates with me. I've recently come out of retirement, and really gotten back into programming and product building. I've done this a few times before, but even with experience, I STILL find it hard sometimes to not just di

I love this, but I'm not sure it's right. As for cults, people want to join them. It's more like any sufficiently sophisticated ideology is hard to distinguish from reality.

Heh, I made this comment and forgot to check back -- I'm always missing stuff on HN because of this! If anyone is still paying attention, email me at hi@seikai.tv and I'll see if I can send you one.

I totally get this. When I'm watching videos for the purpose of learning a language, I want all the actual words in the subtitles. But if I'm watching just ot enjoy, say in a language I don't care to learn, I don't mind

It's funny, I often hear, for the first time, about interesting projects just as they are shutting down. I wish there was some kind of pre-emptive news service that would tell me about them BEFORE they shutdown! Like maybe some kind of

I'm excited about this. However, when I attempt to find some of the best-seeming deals, I cannot find them on the airline site. You list a flight from SEA to TYO on 10/16/24, booked via AA that appears to use Alaksa to SFO, t
