The implications of this are huge, it should drastically reduce processing time for neural nets. I wonder if given this if networks could be updated asynchronously/continuously.

How is email the best? This is a business, email happens to be free, but that doesn't mean people will read it, etc. It could well be that it's more profitable to pay Facebook than to use email, similarly to how buying the most ex

Oh man, this reminds me of troubleshooting a host behind a router that didn't support window scaling. It took a week or two to figure out why we couldn't transfer data but could connect, ssh, ping, etc.

Question, how much data do you store in your Mongo cluster? How many QPS does it perform? What's your read/write balance?

It's an odd failing of incredibly smart people that their needs are the same as everyone else's. It seems to be very common (maybe dumb people make the same mistake as well, but you just don't notice it as much)

Actually they do, which is why if you run the drive sans NCQ you get lower sustained throughput, and get overloaded faster. Having a queue of messages allows optimization in ordering the messages.

It's not even close to true in any real sense. Queues create async operations which are often processed faster than sync operations because queues force an async design. You should compare Little's Law to a hard drive with and wit
