$20 a month gives you "unlimited" storage at google. they gladly take my encrypted files for years now and I'm up to 80TB. i think its more than reasonable to pay them for that type of service and be slightly above board (t

Fun fact about doom IPX is 1.0 absolutely spammed the heck out of the network finding peers. Most colleges had big problems days after its release because doom was DDOSing the network. They quickly patched it but patching wasn’t as easy as

switch to desktop mode, connect to wifi, kde should either give you a pop-up or you can just agree to the T&C from a browser. you can even setup the browser to launch directly from game mode, i never did this though so can't walk y

It’s very silly for work from home people. Nothing stopping you from using a personal device at home. One thing is to stop phishing/malware but tracking at home when you can just use a personal device is silly.

Main reasons for SNES was its last minute scrapped backwards compat had it pick that chip. They made up for it having a great audio chip and PPU and a bus that you could just bring your own CPU (like sa-1 which is basically a snes 1.5 cpu)

College was some good distcc days though. My off campus house all ran Linux and they were dumb enough to distcc me. Debian, RedHat 9 (non rhel), and Slack were the other popular distros at the time. My school was ran on Solaris.

When I worked in Brooklyn they would setup sidewalk booths. Walk up with your w2 and someone would take a picture with an iPad. They would confirm the details and leave. It’s amazing how many people showed up for that.

It would be a hard no to do street drugs now-a-days. Back when I was in college worse case you get some weak coke. Now you can get laced coke and OD and die. Scary times!

my old job was much easier than my current job. i left it simply because of the 90 minute commute verses fully remote. less than six months later covid hit and now my old job is 95% remote. i am more challenged and get better compensatio

I get the same thing with notepad++ updates. Only time I use windows is work and the apps that usually update are vscode (which I assume they preanalyze) and notepad++. Other than that I live in WSL for …work
