Totally agree that was your experience. The benefit now is there is a “do you want to install systemd network manager” step which if you say yes will significantly ease your setup. My family and friends I buy used thinkpads and install arch

Honestly you should take a stab at arch. There is a cli wizard installer now.

Same. The only ones that seem to have problems are the ones that explicitly don’t support Linux via anti cheat or weird launchers or DRM. If it’s just a normal game, it runs fine.

The article was singing the praises of wind and solar though which are much simpler to construct, won’t blow up, and you can simply plop down in a lot of places. Honestly the nut we should be cracking is putting solar in our deserts and fig

Apple makes their money on their products and not your data. Google is “free” because it makes its money off your data.

Good on them. GitHub secrets cause a lot of problems. They will always create a better idiot but this idiot trap is long past due. I also can’t wait until people base64 their creds to get past this. Explaining to some that base64 isn’t encr

I’m always confused when people slam sha on hmac. Is there a realtime sha back door I’m missing? Even sha 1 takes days/months to break.

Even if it didn’t sha as a hmac is still fine because the length it takes to break. You can’t break sha1 in the time it takes for your packet to go through the hmac step.

Has does not have the same functionality as jquery contains.

Someone just today was complaining that css doesn’t have contains. Something as simple as that makes jquery useful. It’s also not a huge library and extremely powerful. It gets a bad rap.

My job has a lot of little customers with little projects and some older ones were made with jquery and we keep on keeping on. Why not? Also if we have to make similar projects we branch from older ones. So some of our current development u

Look at the TZ bridge as an example. Closest you can get to NYC to build a bridge without dealing with the port authority.

I was a really big stadia fan. Controller and dozens of games. Hundreds of hours in game. Everyone said it was going to shit down and I did believe them but said no way they would leave us hanging. Got every penny back from them. So at leas

I’m unsure why nobody releases a compact electric 4 seater car with a 60 mile range for running the kids to school and grabbing some random groceries. Basically a beefed up golf cart. That’s all I need to drop my kids off at school each day

I assume that the level that the malware is running at couldn’t simply modify the OTA file and inject itself back in?

It’s great for specific applications but you would be hard pressed to say it’s a better desktop OS than a gnu Linux distro. Bluetooth is a pretty hard thing to miss.

There has to be some punishment. If I steal $100 from you and the risk is I get caught and all I would have to do is give it back then there would be a lot more white collar crime.

My main pc is a MacBook 2013 and brtfs with zstd has changed the way I use it drastically. It basically doubles its storage for common day things. Sure movies and audio and such don’t compress but everything else does. Makes it feel a tad s

I paid $75 for plex 9 years ago and have gotten way more than my monies worth. Their shift to monetization In my opinion is over blown. You can simply go and turn that crap off. Having my media on any device at any time is a life changer.

I personally solve it by abusing Google cloud storage. If you have a domain name you can get their enterprise account for $20 a month with unlimited storage. I have close to 100TB of stuff on there. Rclone crypt makes sure they have no clue
