Correcting numbers is one thing but your post reads like it’s trying to say OP wasn’t good enough so the point is invalid. Let me state it clearer: For industry directly related to life, health, safety, shelter, food, and education, profit

Solid thoughts - I neglected to let on that in my case the seniors lament about how new tech sucks, like python being just another perl… etc. They are “tear down prove it to me while I call things retarded” sometimes. Thats where mgmt shou

I agree. This all reads like a solid reminder that two things happen in that realm of highly VC funded systems: - Investment/money management often happens by people who are very new to this process and make swift sometimes stupid deci

So a neat story … but it trends like “newbie does big thing. Possibly messes up but is ok.” Like a lot of people in startups. Some of which fail. Some due to svb. Some to other reasons. Same “newbie taking serious action” trend. Like 17&#x

“Interest” is not the same as “risk with investment.” You don’t open a savings acct and get told “you could lose this money.” You’re given a sold-to-you contract from the bank for a specific rate of return for the privilege of them being

Government control of something, while a risk that may result in “vogon-like” systems, is still better than for profit shareholder driven corporations. People have been known to overthrow their own governments because of fuckery. Corporatio

I have seen them jammed. Replaced with straight wire, etc. Also where I live has houses that predate electricity - in my area of the northeast US, for instance. So some of the wiring is, most definitely, old. Heck, some old fuse systems ha

In my area of CT the walmarts will use cashiers assigned to door duty to prompt customers for bag checks. It’s got to be scary for them and frankly it seems like poor use of a person. They can affect no change at that point in the transact

Your land? You don’t own it “outright” - stop paying taxes for a few years. The town will come and arrest you, taking the land by threat of death . (They’ll use police.)

Why would anyone be surprised? (“If it’s free you’re the product.”) I don’t like closed-source, but if I want to use a vendor product (which is what this is) - maybe via a license means there’s a chance it’s also acting evil?
