There is a philosophical idea that every “thing” needs an “other” to be afraid of so its existence, and actions, is justified. I think we have seen a lot of that in the last 30 years or so, for sure.

First: I am a Christian. I can be a leftist and a Christian, (look up Dorothy Day) and my comment made no mention of faith. You brought that up and it says more about your worry or notions than anything else. Second - “fun” because it is.

Adding to 2.: Reagan. My mother, born in 1961, adores him for some reason. I was born in 1979. Hell, my father has a room of trinkets to/about him. I’m a leftist. Reminding them he was an evil man and his wife was a wack-a-doo is.. f

I reckon so. It could align nice with a mock fs, I suppose. But if differences in fs or architecture are crucial - the real proof is in the integration.

Isn’t testing the physical generation of a pdf more aligned with “integration” test not unit testing? Testing the api that makes the pdf is ok, but testing like this post suggests, with bitwise comparison is integration testing, no?

I prefer to phase it in two ways: - before implementation, it’s a “milestone project management decided to ignore.” - after implementation, it’s a “project management decision to implement in the next phase.”

“Manufacturing Consent” works in ways other than a nation state’s desire for war. People are very much easy to mold. Thanks to the internet it’s even easier.

That’s not what I spoke of. I stated “if it’s free.” Don’t mix up direction and order of operations here. MS “giving” is an investment. GPT being free to use (us) is also a form of investment. Look at healthcare. Govs (taxpayers) funded re

The “direction” of that efficiency is always toward profit and against the very laboring class that makes the product the owners use for profit. With a collective, co-op, employee owned, or government run industry - one can edict the variou

Because of the class difference between working/labor and capital owning classes. One has a hedge against bad decisions based on the backs and labor of the other.

I don’t disagree - the usual cohort here is people looking for that extra “capitalist help” with the whole “bootstraps” marketing angle popular these days. And you’re right: doesn’t make it less true. I suppose in the gpt space it may be “i
