Never heard of the Vivaldi browser until I needed a browser that focused the address bar on a new tab in Samsung DeX. They are apparently on the ball when it comes to Android.

The thing is, my domain registrar can be contacted by phone. They have a support desk. Google will give you the cold shoulder when you are flagged by their AI system unless you can create an outcry on social media.

Be very careful in judging if someone is faking CFS. You often only see someone when they are on a (social induced) high. Not when the crash comes 24h or even days later. The added suffering from not having a support network, or worse being

That's a tough spot to be in. I would probably use Next 13 with page routing. If say Remix gets more traction, switching shouldn't be too difficult. Same for Qwik which has a similar tsx/jsx syntax. It's going to be inte

A pretty sad state of affairs. I really liked Next.js pre App Router but feel this new direction is not for me. Sure we can still use the legacy routing but they clearly steer towards App Router/RSC.

Serverless means: - No access to native cron - Remote database (latency) - Cold starts - Function timeouts - Memory constraints - Limited runtime Using Laravel in a serverless environment would introduce the same restrictions.

I did some reading and this is actually happening. [0] Sensors are increasingly being surrounded by urbanization and this influences readings by the heat island effect. [0] https://www.researchgate.net/publication/26256

If we have more data points in cities, this could skew the results. I live in a forested area and going into the city can easily add 3 or 4 degrees Celsius.

I installed devStudio and hover seems to work fine, probably due to the vnc layer. What doesn't work well is the mouse pointer, there is a weird offset between the native cursor and the vnc cursor.

My biggest gripe with vscode on Android (code-server pwa on DeX) is lack of mouse hover and text selection. With so much intellisense hidden behind mouse popovers not having access to that is a bit of a show stopper.

No we didn't come full circle. I always wanted a server side rendered SPA where the server template is the same as the client template. With PHP/JSP you have to switch context to say jQuery for interactivity. With an SSR rendered

That's a valid point (induced quakes in otherwise stable area). Still a 3.6 is equivalent to a heavy lorry passing by (I've experienced this myself). Something a house should be able to handle without problem. The 3.6 quake was th

Can you talk about an earthquake problem if the strongest earthquake recorded was 3.6? The south of the Netherlands seems to be more prone to earthquakes: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_earthquakes_in_the_N...

As a former PHP developer, I can't see myself part ways with TypeScript as a backend and frontend language. I don't have to think about syntax anymore. No context switching. I can see a future where Next.js is replaced with a more

If you consume your own graphql endpoint you can add some layer of security by only allowing predefined queries and inspect the provided query variables. I use PostGraphile as an Express middleware and only allow whitelisted requests.

I'm moving from prisma and knex to kysely. Excellent typescript support, especially with kysely-codegen. All that's still needed is better transaction support.

It looks like ESM is getting good traction this year. Just moved a big project (Next.js and Express backend) over to ESM and this went pretty smooth.
