I don't know about other Applie services, but if you don't back iMessage up to iCloud, the messages stay on the device exclusively. That's a pretty good default security level for personal communications.

They actually do try to enforce it, but right now it's a losing battle. You can spin up a new voip company and start blasting scam calls from an overseas call center in a weekend, then spin that company down before anyone has any idea

Creating a front end. I actually really enjoying laying out a beautiful design in HTML, but... I hate hate hate hate hate working in JS. Just throwing up a MPA with a templating engine is not enough functionality for what I want to offer.

I think he's saying the devs are average because they're in massive corps that hire average devs, who are managed by nontechnical, average middle managers. Those corps often like Microsoft, so that's what those devs work in.
