I've heard it a million times and for hopefully the last time: FB/Twitter will not replace Google. As much as the social networking fundies would love to see that happen. This is a huge blunder on Murdoch's part - as if Fox was reporting ne

'Web developers' should be replaced with 'Engineers' and yes, for the most part, engineers aren't known for their marketing skills. And as much as this is drilled into our heads over and over again: keep it coming. It's all too easy to forg

I think the OP is making a deeper point but the article 'pretends' to be about citizen journalists' incompetence. It seems his deeper point, which he could've made more clearly, is about the insensitivity and stupidity of the assholes behin

It depends. If you're more like a Richard Branson type then keep em up. If you're more like Steve Jobs then take them down..

Agreed. This is kind of the reason PG did away with numbers on comments a little while ago but brought them back after a lot of criticism.

Yeah this isn't freemium at all according to the pricing plans here: http://scoutapp.com/subscriptions Evernote is a much better example of a freemium model.

I think TTS as a technology isn't quite there yet.. The radio sounds and overall UI/UX are brilliant though.

Sounds like someone I could chill with. Gyokuro tea is good but it's a bitch to make. Try Silver Needle tea instead. =) Wonderfully honest and as always I love the stab at the ridiculous hype surrounding gigantic user bases that lose money

Interesting.. Don't know why the OP would recommend they have a foreign accent though. I think the accent should be relevant to the country you're in... Unless your product is Beck's beer or Outback steak house..

Excellent read. Take into consideration threats from external sources like asteroids & evil spaceships and you've got even less of a probability of survival. ;)

I'd say .NET is more valuable than Java if you're looking for an 'industry' job. But at the very least you should have some familiarity with C.

Will do. Thanks ErrantX. You've inspired me to seriously consider putting up a splash page asking for email addresses - to be notified when it's released.

Something along the lines of a highrisehq.com competitor. We're about a 6 weeks away from a private beta launch.. So pricing is coming up quite a bit. =)
