This is pretty slick. Any thoughts on leap motion and its acceptance into the consumer market? There seems to be a lot of hype surrounding it. Passing fad or legit disruptive tech? Something I'd like to research more before using this

I tried and failed at making a CRM. The problem with developing and marketing CRMs is: 1. Very crowded space 2. You need to attract a lot of customers because revenue/customer for SaaS apps like CRMs are low: https://highris

I think we're off topic. This is more about the war on drugs and how it's an epic fail and continues to be. I'm a techno-libertarian and I hope that one day all drugs will be legal again, albeit highly regulated and taxed so

I despise how twitter and facebook have become the de facto gatekeepers for marketing an app. The web is littered with millions upon millions of "Share this on/Log in with Twitter / Facebook" and for a lot of apps that a

So does this mean we've lost some emails forever or does this mean we'll get the emails eventually just delayed? EDIT: I have an email currently lost in limbo. 3 hours delayed and counting. Not sure if it will ever get delivered.

Actually FUCK Show HN. My advice is to stay away from HN when doing your startup. Don't play to this crowd. It's just a huge echo chamber in here. Find a way to advertise your demo or beta product online - there's 1000s of wa

Your message isn't clear. AFAIK there is no official way to interact with Siri or Google voice rec. It seems like WIT will take the text that has already been translated from a user's voice to text and make it easily accessible to

Preach all you want. Pass all the laws you want. People will do this because they can and they want to. The only real way to mitigate it is through innovation. Not by telling adults on the internet what they can and cannot do or by passing

I text, call, check email, and web all while driving and I bet at least 95% of people on HN do too. If you want this to stop then invent a new way to communicate.

I think it is a real problem when you don't own your email or its contents. I would love if something like this was officially supported by all the big players.

Any chance we'll get a non-hosted version? This is awesome btw. I'd gladly shell out some cash for a tool that would enable me to generate the corresponding code for these animations.

Oh goody. I love to rip on the social network. AOL, Friendster, Myspace, now FB.. They never monetize because the model can't support itself properly or at least it won't make a trillion dollars like one might expect to with a billion users

Will this let me see the faces of users watching my film? If I can't see the face then I don't want it. Whenever I screen my films I like to see the face of the person who is watching it. In fact I setup a camera pointing at my audience so

Why don't more hackers consider Los Angeles? Cheaper and easier to find housing than the bay or NYC hands down, better weather, and plenty of single women who jump at the chance to date guys that aren't actors and/or yoga instructors! Given
