Could you refer to a tutorial or a bit more description about what you mean by 'manipulate abstraction over the mathematical concepts', especially when doing higher math? Simple arithmetic, or even computer-algebra simplifications

I have not taken this course. I do feel I have a second brain. I have constructed my own system of keeping my thoughts organized and making progress in better understanding in a cohesive manner. By taking longer to finish grad school and en

Noob question but if you've already bootstrapped your startup, aren't you ahead of the competition and likely to get the funding, instead of the funding going to your competitor. Just trying to understand the context here: your co

Sorry you're right. I remember doing a 1 year program, only the first 7 months were Starting Strength. Remaining 5 months were a weight loss program.

I just want to clarify (for the record) that I didn't mean investor community (which I have not approached yet). I was mainly talking about my friends (most, actually all, of whom are naysayers) and people I interact with online.

That is my current strategy, i.e., to work with the yaysayers. "Why me" would be the least of my worries. My biggest hurdle was getting a Ph.D degree in a highly multidisciplinary field and that's now out of the way.

Source is me. (Of all the naysayers who I've come across in the past many years, if a tenth of them were willing to fund me to work on AGI, by now I'd be well on my way to prove them wrong. But therein lies the rub. Why would they

Best guess: Jim Keller came in with guns blazing about how Moore's law is not dead and if you believe so you're stupid. He was a comp-architecture guy counting on the device/physics folks to deliver. They didn't, while J

With all due respect, I thought Robin Hanson was better than this. I followed him briefly during the 2013-2015 automation hype (which hasm't died yet; far from it), and I found him to be carrying out reasonable analysis of tech economi

Looks like you do have a problem given that you created this thread in the first place. And I have a "suspicion" assigning full copyright to your partner, of the code you wrote, may have something to do with it.

So I guess I should stop doing everything else and adopt a brand new M$ tech that totally blows out of the water what M$ offered a few years ago, which M$ said totally blows out of the water what M$ offered before that. Got it.

Bob Martin belongs to the OO-evangelism camp that emerged from the OO fad of mid-1990s. Another OO-evanglist who belongs to this camp is Ron Jeffries. For a textbook example of how much of a snake-oil OO-evangelism is, checkout the sudoku s
