They didn't address the horrible troughs at old sports stadiums? BTW, I don't know if those still exist. I think Louis CK had a bit about his boy being traumatized by these on his TV show. I recall urinating at "the trough&

I live in Hampton, VA. I make a bit over $80k/yr and I shop Walmart for groceries, in spite of having a nicer Target a mile close to home on the same road. I agree on location of Walmarts making the difference. There's at least

For groceries (the one thing I can't really outsource to internet shopping), I find that Walmart's Neighborhood Market stores to be far nicer than the superstores. I shop at mine all the time and it's a clean, quiet, pleasan

I just signed up for a monthly $10 donation. I've also had the FreeBSD Foundation as my Amazon Smile beneficiary ever since Smile was introduced. It's not a huge amount (0.5%), but I shop a lot on Amazon. Money well spent.

Having grown up in the 80s, I caught a ton of the pop culture nods in the series. I was the exact same age as these kids during the time the show was taking place. I like how you broke it down by age group vs movies/tropes, something

Botulism spores can survive much higher temps than those used for pasteurization. This is why there's a risk for botulism for home-canned goods that aren't acidic enough. If you're water bath canning, that's pretty muc

Granted. Many states allow open carry, which seems more fitting for such circumstances. However, hunting large(-ish) game like boar with large caliber handguns is a thing. I don't know how they'd fare against bear and moose. It

The same could be said for Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Montana, and New Mexico. Given that Wyoming has the lowest population density (of the 48 contiguous states, anyway), I sorta understand that one. But given that a big chunk of the Ar

Fair enough. I had the same complaint about regular smokers at my last apartment. Smoke from a neighbor would somehow seep into my place a bit, which bugged me. The upstairs neighbor had kids and a dog that irked me with their constant n

Wow, I didn't realize there were that many. Alaska makes total sense, given that bears and moose roam populated areas. I'm surprised by the others.

Well, it is the only US state (I think) that requires no permits for concealed gun carry. So they do strive to reduce the trampling of people's rights. Now, if they legalized pot (or drugs in general), prostitution, and gambling, it wo

When I lived in Utah, I owned some land. If you want cheap desert and sagebrush, Iron / Millard / Box Elder Counties are good options. For treed, remote, secluded parcels, check out Hamlin Valley if you have a sturdy 4x4. Cheap

Meal-in-a-box outfits like Blue Apron seem to have mostly solved this problem. Of the 3 or 4 test orders I received from 2 such services, the produce was generally in excellent condition.

I think the prevailing attitude is to completely disregard single mothers (in spite of their overwhelming numbers) as viable dating candidates to begin with. Women are noticing this, then shaming men with the whole "real men yadda-yad

For all I know, that could be the primary factor. I'm not well versed enough to speak with any authority. I just tossed an idea out there based from my sphere of online observations over the past 5 or so years.

(this is not meant to me inflammatory, but rather an honest rumination) Keeping the feminism/SJW/manosphere shenanigans in my peripheral vision, there's been a huge backlash rallying against single mothers in recent years. T

You can tell the exit node which out-bound ports you want to allow. So for example, you can deny port 25 traffic so people can't send spam (as easily) anonymously via your exit. If I ever get the balls to host an exit node myself, I&#

It's a modern take on Tibetan butter tea. Sure, the Bulletproof-branded stuff is high-priced snake oil, but there does seem to be a historically recognized synergy with the primary constituents of the beverage.

Who said the pay was the same? I'd be happy to take a 20% pay cut for a 4-day work week at some point in my life. I have a semi-retired relative who does just that. As it is now, I'm vocal at reviews that I'll take more days

Zoning has a lot to do with it, as it's damned near impossible to build anything less than a 1500 square foot home anymore unless you build on property not in a subdivision or under city ordinances. There's now a whole counter-cu
