I'm not defending Nixon; fuck that guy. I will, however, say that Allende is oft depicted by the left as some universally beloved leader that only the aristocracy despised. I have not heard this from my (many) Chilean friends (and they

Definitely an awesome link (thanks), but last I checked, Maersk was around 15% of global shipping. I would not conflate a company's logistics software (with a narrow focus on shipping) with pulling the strings on the broad-based econom

The idea of trading individual control of companies for a cabal in a James Bond villain esque room sipping whisky and smoking cigars sounds idiotic. I suppose todays equivalent would ditch the cabal for a computer. Would you trust a compute

So far, after 20 years of competitive rowing and an office job, I've found the best advice for me is simply don't get injured, remain active (get out!), and cook more. All these fads might work (IF, keto, crossfit), but I think th

Yes, in the sense of convenience... but you are storing the generator on a networked device with potential for malicious exploitation. OK for my gmail, but maybe not the keys to a 6 figure brokerage account... Of course, in the case, I&#x27

Lol. Loading up a blog article with tech buzz is a huge red flag to me that the CTO doesn't know as much as you might think. And no, I don't have a problem communicating with my higher ups: I just have had enough time in industry

I'm sure you mean well. You need to pare back the jargon and focus these blog posts on user experience, IMO. As an engineer dealing with all the usual bullshit from higher ups that learned a new buzzword and have to have it right now (

If you had included Obama's continuation plus expansion of Bush era foreign policies, I might have taken your statement seriously.

Nonsense. My statement relates to the realities of fighting a "war" against an ideology rather than a nation state, to which all those niceties (Geneva convention) were designed to accommodate. The system we have for fighting trad

Unfortunately, the opposition said that long before we did. Not saying I'm happy with our decisions regarding how to wage a war like this, but I can at least understand how we got to this place.
