Recently, we released RsRelayJS, a small RxJS lib that provides 'Relay' types. These are analogous to Subject types, but without the ability to call complete() or error(). Therefore, they are stateless in the sense that they cann

I'm going to be in this lottery and it's unnerving thinking about how different my life could turn out if I get this visa vs. don't. Young male, can't imagine I'd try again next year so it could be the difference o

Not quite 68% because there are two categories: 20,000 for advanced degree holders and another 65,000. There is an initial lottery between the advanced degree holders for the 20,000, and then the unsuccessful people go into the regular lo

Great guide, I'd love a similar one for Green Cards. For instance, does a Masters in CS qualify you for an EB-2 filing? A search shows that the employer would have to give evidence of the advanced degree being necessary for the job.

I used to do this, but then when compiling the project the Dropbox client would shoot to over 70% CPU usage and the fan on my laptop would go into overdrive. Switch to GitHub/BitBucket

I've seen this on numerous sites now and each has 'Reveals Real Name' in the title. His name wasn't some big secret beforehand (it was on his wiki page) and using this link bait in the title defers from the quality of hi

What saddened me most about that reaction was that it was for the announcement of something that we have always had. The biggest reaction at E3 was to a non-restriction, not a game!

I can't imagine what Facebook would be like today if every user had a share, given the community uproar (at least initially) to any new changes to the UI, feature set etc.

The correct way to go about this is to advertise to the entire population, but make a conscious move to have it geared towards women more (e.g. advertised more heavily in women-dominated areas). Then you hope the best candidate is a women.

While they might lose the extreme tin foil hat customers, this deal will only serve to enhance their trustworthiness as a company. "The CIA trusts Amazon with THEIR data...heck, so should I." etc.

Fantastic, reminds me of one of my favorite mobile games - FreeFlow. I'd rather if my move didn't get set until I stop holding down the cursor (may be different on the mobile version, don't have an iPhone).

I imagine they were pointing out the irony that someone who wanted to see the end of internet anonymity, which would inherently reduce privacy, is now complaining of a privacy breech on a site where there is relatively no anonymity.

I spend last summer in California on a J-1 work travel visa (Irish student). I had no job lined up before I went over and the visa was very easy to get. Agencies do all the work for you for a reasonable fee.
