Yep, I'm experiencing the same thing. The occasional big hit from reddit or HN, then RSS. I've seen a surge of RSS when Karpathy included my website on his top hn blogs to read. From Google search I get around 30-60 click a day. S

A 30 second memcached/redis/etc goes a long way when sharing on HN. You go from 6k db hits to 60 hits in 30 minutes. Worked for me since 2013 [0]. [0]: https://idiallo.com/blog/handling-1-million-web-request

There's a simple method you can use with nginx and /etc/hosts, I wrote about it couple days ago [0]. I used it for an internal demo recently and realized that a new breed of devs have never seen a non localhost url run local

Everybody's output is someone else's input. When you generate quantity by using an LLM, the other person uses an LLM to parse it and generate their own output from their input. When the very last consumer of the product complains,

The language in the article would be fascinating if it wasn't such a horrible thing. It's not that the Israeli soldiers are sexually assaulting Palestinians, instead they are using Sexual Assault. Later they say "Sexualised v

I've been using stich from Gemini, and just plain zAi for helping redesign my website. You can use the generated code to copy and paste the design to fit your own templates, but that's a pain. Unless you are ok with using tailwind

I'm not sure what the expectations is supposed to be. Is Google supposed to have 100% adoption rate? Even OpenAI and Anthropic don't have that. I have managers asking similar things at work: how can we increase AI adoption in dev

I was writing about this recently [0]. In the 2000s, we were bragging about how cheap our services are and are getting. Today, a graduate with an idea is paying $200 amounts in AWS after the student discounts. They break the bank and go bro

I often see these angles, how we should have prepared better or attacked this instead of that, or the unexpected strategy from the adversary. What about not bombing? The best safety trick the US can use is not bombing others.
