At the risk of sounding mean, Threads really is the dumbest place on the Internet. It’s vapid beyond anything I’ve ever experienced.

Totally seperate. I learn never to cross pollinate. If I want to use my Apple Music subscription, then I’ll use my iPhone. Your work laptop is not your laptop. Make seperate account and just abandon then when you switch jobs.

I opened it and immediately saw a post from GaryVee. Who was sanctimoniously instructing people to 'collectively be more civil'. Not a platform I want to use, but the App seemed decent; smooth UI animations, clean interface, simpl

Outside of SV and a few other zones around the world, most people just want to have a half decent business I suspect. For me, living in an obscure part of Australia, I’m happy with a business that means I don’t have to commute and work in s

It's weird isn't it! The reverse of how we think it works from external observation alone. It's totally normal to think they grow like nails, but only twice.

The logical flaw in that argument is assuming that home owners care about money. Many don’t, or money is not the primary motivation. Protecting their lifestyle location is likely a stronger motivator. I don’t want even a low rise apartment

On the VC moving to Mastodon bit: I guess that’s a very SV centric perspective? I live in an obscure part of Australia, and the less VC posts I see the better. If I saw a post from @jason I’d know it was time to leave ;-) But seriously, for

The issue I see is that the Tech Community, that form and influence opinions, is going to be cautious about investing time in another private social media company. Mastodon has the mind share already as the de facto Twitter replacement. Blu

Maybe we need some sort of self-identifying system. Like SSH keys, where you manage your own identity and then share a public key to each instance that identifies you to that instance. Like an identity client you could self manage if you w

The same was true of JS. But AFAIK, there is only CSS and JS. You used to have to declare the Script tag as JS, but you don’t anymore since HTML5. Because all scripts are JS. I don’t think SASS and LESS count, as are not supported by browse

April 2022 was the last maintenance release. Out of curiosity, why is it discouraged? I’m not really in the React world, but have been fixing up a Create React App for a client recently, so learned a bit more about it.
