Adding to that, I was watching Doug DeMuros round on YouTube the other day. He noted that his views were down, and he likely suspected some of his audience had moved to TikTok. Or something along those lines :-) Doug is a massive Car Review

I’m not. Downsizing or going retro that is. I buy what I need to run and operate my life and business. But only that. I try to avoid buying extra things because I want to treat myself or because I mistakenly believe it might make me happy f

I believe it was another NPR podcast that pointed out that the Unemployment Rate is not designed to tell potential employees how easy it will be to get a job. But rather it’s designed to inform business about the state of the labour market.

In reports of the recent Earth Quakes in Japan, the news noted how their Reactors had extensive safety protocols in place. So hopefully they would shut down safely, at least in Japan anyway!

Read Books, is the answer I think. The entire online news chain is polluted it seems to me. If you have access to a decent Library, I believe the benefits to the individual by using it are: 1) economic, save you money 2) social, you interac

Yep - even with 2FA off they still like to check. I have a client who tries to share one Google / Gmail Inbox account between users internationally and Google does not like that at all! Google constantly requires verification for login

I’m a SublimeText die hard! I do regularly try VSCode to see what I’m missing. VS Code has great remote editing that I do use. However, on my M1 Pro 16”, VS Code is noticeable laggier than sublime Text! Just clicking on a file in the side b

So can we assume the M3 Max offered little benefit because the workloads couldn’t use the cores? Or the tasks maybe finished so fast that it didn’t make a difference in real world usage?

It’s not exactly a AU$30k gap from an MG at AU$40! List price of a base Model 3 is $61,900. Minus any rebates available in your state. In SA that’s a $3000 rebate and three years free registration.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I still prefer the jQuery API to vanilla JS. And I’m still baffled by those that say you don’t need jQuery whilst happily loading a minefield of NPM dependencies and the latest flavour of React clo

So it looks cool... But I almost have no idea what it is. I say almost, because I guess it's something to do with AI. I'm at that life stage where I do not want to discuss on Discord how AI can become a creative thought partner. H
