Besides what the others said, the new clean one supports a whole host of additional websites, is updated more regularly, and generally works better. I think my biggest issue with the clean one is that it's not on any of the add-on/

I'd love to see an example of this. I often compile things inside Alpine containers statically and run them on my local machine, and plenty of times I've downloaded deb packages, extracted them on a raspberry pi running Alpine and

You can't take a binary compiled for Linux and plop on a ChromeOS installation and expect it to run. It works currently because ChromeOS runs Linux applications in a lightweight VM with a Debian environment. Given that, I wouldn't

People keep saying self-defence for Israel, what about the Palestinians? Why can't they do self-defence? It is utterly ridiculous to hide behind that when Israel, on multiple occasions, has indiscriminately bombed Gaza under the guise

I don't understand software projects called after random things. What does lip gloss do? What does glow and glamour do? Spinnaker does the same thing and it's just not easy to follow. Same questions for echo, rosco, deck and whate

Vaultwarden is unaffiliated with Bitwarden. Vaultwarden is a hobbyist re-implementation of the Bitwarden server API. Anything the frontends (extensions, web ui, apps, etc) need to function properly, must would need to be re-implemented in V

I'd be very surprised if it would be considering YouTube already has music where they already pays the copyright holder for. My guess is YouTube music is focused UI on an already offered service and separating it out will likely not ma

Dnsmasq needs an upstream server to resolve the DNS queries. That upstream server can be anything, Google, Cloudflate, Quad9, or, a local Unbound instance. You run an unbound server with a static IP, and point dnsmasq to said static IP. OPs

Adguard Home does too. Anyway, regardless, you can use dnsmasq with Unbound.

Obviously this subjective. I personally never like the old UI, and though it still has ways to go, it's miles ahead of the old UI.

The service doesn't deal with encrypted payloads. It just integrates with YouTube's lounge api. As long as a machine is able to run this and is connected to the internet, that should be enough.

How many engineers do you think are actually managed by LF? From my understanding, the majority of engineers contributing to Linux are on the payroll of other companies like Google.

This is weird. LF has spent less on Linux than everything else . LF has to deal with lots more than LF. Even based on the numbers this article mentions, LF spends close to a million a year on Linux. I don't understand what the aim is

Sure, but adding --help to a command means that the output of help is not exceptional, thus you're expecting it in stdout. If on the other hand you invoke the command incorrectly, and the author decides the best thing to do is print

By my calculations, considering much of the world runs on RH/Ubuntu/Debian, all of which use systemd, things depending on systemd are far from being a failure, cos they'll run on the majority of systems.

It's sad to see so many negative comments for this. I get it's not an ideal place to start for macOS containers, but it's a start. Apple isn't doing it, so the community has to. Once you have a start, you can iterate on
