Desert Strike and (it's even better sequel) Jungle Strike were amazingly well designed. I think they were on the Sega and circa 1992 & 1993. The Hard Vacuum game looks like it might have been even better.

This article fails to mention the licensing problems that caused issues with MySQL, only that it was "a change in ownership". PostgreSQL has they kind of license you want to go with ... a large part of it's historical and future strength(s)

I've been using Parallels for Mac (last year's version). If you just bump up the video RAM to like 8MB you'll get more options for display sizes. I'll upgrade to version 7 ... just haven't had the time lately.

Makes sense. Using the console to query information about what's going on inside Chromium's processes is already similar to the "shell experience". (This might explain why recent Chromium builds have gone from 45MB to 235MB!!)

Checkout a recent build of chromium ... (especially the profile/alias switcher with "Slice", "Agent X", and "Fluffy") I'm using rev 111735. I'm guessing anything now in the Google+ toolbar is quickly headed up a level into the "jetpack'ish"
