PySide is Qt4. PySide2 is Qt5. I would suggest using PySide2 but using https://github.com/mottosso/Qt.py in case you need to switch to PyQt5 for any reason.

Not downplaying your choices but throwing this out there. Vim can and does all of that as well. vim $DOCUMENTATION_URL (curls the page and opens in vim) vim-rest-console :terminal (new!..ish. Works great.)

The most enjoyable and productive dev workstations I have used/setup have all used rolling release distro's for this exact reason. It does have the overhead of requiring you actually understand (or know how to google) your system&

This really just sounds like issues with whatever web IDE you are using. Remote development does not need to be a huge pain like that.
