in this example it's showing the seconds on the clock, which might be useful to some. (Just pointing out that using < 0.1% of the total CPU (depending on how you'd weight the efficiency cores) should not be a dealbreaker if you

Just be aware that 1% on modern multi-core systems is not a lot. The macOS activity monitor doesn't calculate the average percentage over all cores, instead (AFAIK) a process on e.g. a M1 Pro/Max can use up to 1000% if it utilizes

you have probably never used a high res display on a laptop, it makes a huge difference ;-) Macbook Pros have had high res displays since 2012 (2880x1800 for the 15" back then) The current 14" Macbook Pro comes with 3024x1964. So

Search the actions for „super brightness“. However I did not spend too much time implementing this and this feature actually only uses public API in BTT. BetterDisplay (I’m not involved in that despite the name) is my favorite app to do thi

Yep! It's just me wondering why the advertising industry hasn't picked up on this, given that they are usually fast to exploit any possible browser feature/quirk to push their advertisements.

It does not apply any dark overlay, at least not on HDR screens, it just looks like it does due to the big difference in brightness. I would assume the iPad Air 4 doesn't have a HDR screen, but maybe I'm wrong. On HDR capable scre

This has been known for quite a while and can be used for arbitrary HTML elements with some CSS hacks. I'm suprised no "super bright" advertisements have shown up so far. https://kidi.ng/wanna-see-a-whiter-whi

Is there really a browser on Android that has better addon support than Safari on iOS? On iOS content blocking can be done on a very low level by ad blockers posing as local on-device vpns. This doesn’t require root and is super easy to set

Just FYI: you can use hyperlinks etc. in the BetterTouchTool expanded snippet. You just need to select the appropriate "Paste Type". You can also enter raw HTML and then select the "Paste Format: Interpret entered text as HTM

WebCrypto only works in secure contexts (https), which is a significant limitation for some use cases. But I agree it should be an option.

that's just not true. Take any of the last Macbook Pro Intel (maxed out) models and compare it to a similarly priced M1 Max. The difference in real world usage is night and day - although a lot of it is caused by the horrible thermal t
