I wear a rubber band on my wrist and lightly snap it when someone is telling me something and I feel compelled to interrupt. It brings me out of the moment just enough to wait. But, you have to remember that the rubber band exists :-)

Perhaps we just need more people to which I can delegate work. I love designing big architectures and also mentoring junior developers. But then also doing a lot of the work or jumping between 5 projects to bail a junior out is spreading me

That would be a solution if it were not for the 24/7 reliance on Slack for almost all team communication. I really really hate Slack-like in-your-face-all-day interruptions. It's hell.

That's a valuable data point about WoW; thanks! I like your idea of just adding Firebase and testing the waters. Alas, the next version of my app is a rewrite to Unity3D and there is no Firebase client for Unity3D (yet?) so this amoun

You typically cannot trust the game client so either you'd have to submit the scores to your own backend and then forward to Firebase or perhaps use .validate rules as per: https://www.firebase.com/docs/security&#x
