Vim + plugins + Unix tools (find, make, grep, ack, etc.) For C# I use Visual Studio, Intellisense autocompletion is gteat. For Java I use Eclipse, but in One project where I was forced to developer on a remote server with many restrictions

I used lambda to implement a loader from s3 to redshift. Serverless context and the ability to be triggered on event (i.e. on s3 file creation) are great but I found same problems described in the article. I can suggest to give it a try to

I knew an old man who is now retired who wrote something in COBOL For a bank, it is still running cause it calls itself and nobody understand ita eval tricks. It is still working and everybody is afraid of removing it. True story.
