This implies some sort of standardized assessment, which is seldom true. All sorts of bias is at play under the guise of culture, personality and team fit.

Our current assessment is about 4 hours and i think that's too long. When i was hired I remember multiple points where i seriously considered giving up. O can't help but think how many good people we lose to an excessive applicant

Yes, because the only limiting for for super qualified engineers is they don't get paid for coding in their copious amounts of free time. If you want to limit your pool of potential hires to rock stars who don't have jobs (pool si

Funny thing is ordering out of the USA to Canada is way better with usps because they turn the package over to Canada post, which if anything only charges gst. Everyone else rips you off with huge brokerage fees

"there's a limit to what I'm willing to do to mitigate risk..." This is a troll right? Plan for a plane crash but not willing to use proper waterproof storage?

Carrying your passport on your person has nothing to do with planning for a plane crash. You probably carry your phone in your pocket walking down the street just in case of... meteor strike? Godzilla attack?

When a recruiter sends you unsolicited job postings it's not a job offer, it's advertising for the supply side of their business. This response is not surprising.

I really don't understand what the op is suggesting, asking for or complaining about. He's happy trading his privacy for services, but mad(?) that they don't give him arbitrary access in the form he wants, but understands tha

I think some touch on this but you cannot possibly align 40+ people directly. If these are all devs, at this scale you need 3-4 engineering managers or 5+ leads. That's were you should be focusing and empower them to carry your message

Well.MNP are licensed insolvency consultants so regardless of the sample size the entire survey smacks of bias. There are way better indicators of insolvency than this opinion poll. We'd expect a related tick up in actual bankruptcies,

The big question is field or box lacrosse? There is far less head on head contact in lacrosse, but box lacrosse has the same problem with hits from behind into the boards as hockey. Somewhat surprising, soccer also has huge concussion issue

The combination of people fighting oil production in their own countries while making very few meaningful changes to their consumption patterns is a massive example of NIMBYism

There are actually far more practical reasons for public management of oil and gas resources. The reservoirs are huge and span more than a single owners private property. In order to harvest efficiently you may require coordination or non l

Work themselves out of a job, not necessarily delegate. The former could mean solving a problem once and for all, or putting process in place, or eliminating a task. The latter means having someone else do it.
