When I was still in market research, we used a rate of 150000€ per FTE as as heuristic to convert between number of empolyees and gross revenue whenever one of the numbers was missing. But this number is mostly for businesses that move inve

The men in Qatar are most probably migrant workers. And marked dent you see in the 30 to 34 bracket in western europe in 1950 is not from WW2, but from WW1 (reduced births due to absent men).

No, he was not. For Marconi, wireless transmission of information was just a byproduct of the far more important wireless transmission of power. In the linked text he is explicitly distinguishing his idea from the mere wireless transmission

Inheritance. There is a page by Phil Greenspun about how even Bill Gates only became rich by having rich parents (I'd post a link if this stupid cell phone supported copy and paste, so I must rely on your google fu instead).

Sorry, but your "correction" made your statement even more inaccurate. You should have elided the scary latin "idempotent" and kept "state changing", as the latter is what GET requests must avoid. GET http://example.com/index?action=delete

No, I saw the original version that cautioned against state changing idempotent GET requests. The changed version is actually worse, as it only cautions against non-idempotent GETs, which is not enough. State changing idempotent requests vi

You don't understand what idempotent means. An action is idempotent if repeating it does not change the result. For example, multiplying by zero is idempotent, 0 * x is the same as 0 * 0 * 0 * 0 * x. But of course it changes something, as

There is no way that the observed behaviour is caused by traffic shaping, as that would require a residential DSL line with a raw upstream bandwidth of roundabout 6GBit/s. (Otherwise it could never fit the initial 700MB/s.)
