I'm extremely skeptical about the long term growth of tablets. Personally, I have an Android 10in (Asus Transformer). After 6 months, I use it way less than either my laptop or my phone. If I'm around the house I usually want the laptop. Ev

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the obvious big drawback, which is that you still need to take care of backups. A real game changer would be if a low power server came out with an integrated point and click solution to have the data auto

For those who feel groggy after a "nap" I think there's a misunderstanding. In this context taking a nap means: closing your eyes, relaxing your brain/whole body, and trying to empty your mind of all the thoughts that are usually racing aro

Isn't the absence of wifi hardware pretty crippling for a small portable device like this?

Android will be in some big high-end German car models in early 2011. There will be downloadable apps, but only from a manufacturer specific market. I don't think there will be any Android branding, so the car owner won't even know it is An

Maybe it would be better if you could change the message before tweeting/posting to FB. I wrote something to DB that I didn't want to tweet. So I didn't do the last 2 steps, which were presumably the most important ones. I realize that not

That's a great idea. Did you have to stop because you're working in an office now? Being able to use a treadmill desk is actually one of the main reasons I want to spend more time working from home.

As mentioned in the article, there are very big differences between treatment for kidney failure between the US and other first world countries. For example, blood filters are commonly reused in the US, to save a few bucks. Doctors are not

Me too. Because now it's possible to use Javascript on the server as well as the client. I think that for small teams doing Webapp development, being able to use the same language on the client and the server is a big win.

I'm in Switzerland. According to SERPs there doesn't seem to be a suicide hot-line here, so the search doesn't get any special treatment on google.ch, nor on google.com. I tried English/French (it's the same word) and also German, but still
