TL;DR - Just because you don't use the library doesn't mean no one needs them anymore. Not everyone's Real Life Issues are amenable to a self-service web portal, and that's not just because no one has built the right widgets yet. > it w

Seems to me that a high-profile entrant to the market, generating buzz and paying heftily to market the concept, could in itself breathe new life into SkyChalk. The cyclist on the team-sponsored, wind-tunnel optimized trials bike can still

Providing deep platform-specific support in a cross-platform codebase is a pain; believe me I get that. But platforms evolve, and frankly the ways they've been evolving recently is likely much tougher to keep up with than "loading plugins

No CLT installed by default? That's just... weird . No more /Developer folder or uninstall-devtools script? I sure hope that means it won't periodically decide to fuck itself like every previous version of Xcode, prompting one or more ful

Nothing, and IIRC this is what I've seen recommended on Dev Forum. Browse to plugin, copy plugin to app sandbox (or with 10.7.3 maybe get new security managed context handle to FS object), load. I don't have an app that does this so I can'

I think the original article alludes to this but doesn't say it explicitly: If they built such a service to let people test their own public keys, the service would actually provide a much bigger service to attackers than it would to users.
