This is interesting not only for the way it lets you code, but for how it lets you pipe commands together graphically. Unix pipes are awesome and all, but chaining any more than 3 commands gets a little confusing with all of the parameters.

It is also worth noting that Dropbox saves its own revision history automatically, just like Google Docs.

The related page for Trap Street ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trap_street ) is also very interesting. It talks about "secret streets" cartographers put in their maps to protect their copyright.

I wish the past-cursors were just rendered as dots because the barrage of pointers made it hard to keep track of my own mouse cursor (even with the larger size and contrast).

I've been using AngularJS for a few months on a side project of mine and it greatly helped move a lot of the code complexity to the client side. Hooking it up with a REST API was simple and got rid of almost all of the server side rendering

You're right. Their PR department would never let such a brutally honest response be published. But surprisingly enough, they issued a statement very similar to the original post the last time they won the title. "We're sure that British Pe

Don't be deterred by the negative comments about the unstructured data. It's a tough problem but not an impossible one. I know because I'm also battling the same question building a free-form NLP based self tracking app to help track daily

It's interesting to see the high-level structure of the DOM tree too. Functionally similar sites like Hacker News and Reddit has drastically different structures (HN at 328 elements while reddit's at a crazy 1375!) One question though (I ma

Redefine your MVP to something you CAN build within a month. It probably doesn't need all of the features you envision in your mind. Engage the users you already have and give them the bare basics to get started and let it grow organically

Hey stdclass, I have a quick and dirty fix for the mobile issue: Change the z-index of "first-col" to -1. That way everything still appears as it is on desktops (since you're using fixed positioning), but the subscription field will gracefu

I haven't tried Titan, but I've played around with neo4j a little bit in the past and found it a little frustrating to get started with. The good part is the ACID transactions and the (beautiful) browser based interface to it. The bad part

I'd love to see more detailed write up about the performance. I'm working on a natural language parsing problem and have had some success using graphs to perform chunking in the past. +1 for using Gremlin! Do you know of any python implemen
