You might want to simply look into reading some leadership books. Leadership 101 [1] is one you can read in probably an afternoon, to get you started. From there John Maxwell as a few more books on Leadership as well. As I haven't been in

The corporate drone pessimist in me thinks that the extra week would just be another work week, with the best case being "Ah yes, you get an extra half-day worth of PTO this year."

If my memory doesn't fail me, Namecheap gives the option to either keep the same nameservers or switch to Namecheap's nameservers. Unless you host your DNS externally (and you have GoDaddy configured to use those), you will have to switch t

Has anything changed since you first launched[1]? How has the experiment been going so far? I like checking it out from time to time to see if anything interesting pops up. I pointed an ex-coworker/friend to one of the postings and he had

I wonder if the barrel roll effect was intended for a Google Image search on "do a barrel roll" as well. The effect is much more prominent -- and annoying since you see the effect every time you navigate back. (I hadn't seen the meme, so

I signed up and quickly went through the tour, but now I realize I went too quickly. I don't know how to redo the tour (or if it's even possible), and can't find anything with a similar explanation. Then again, it's mostly self-explanatory

The first five results (including twitter, as jgrahamc mentioned) should give you an idea.

I would, too [edit: stay clear]. We may be overreacting to what may have been a bad joke but the part regarding partying and "getting crunk" really pushed me into taking the post at face value.

Please google the term "brogrammer". You are defending the post (or playing devil's advocate) by implying a meaning that is not really the currently held inferred meaning. (As far as I'm aware.)

"I see Visual Studio get a lot of support on HN, so maybe I am just weird, but I've never enjoyed using Visual Studio as a whole." Me neither. I switched from Visual Studio (C#) to Emacs (Common Lisp) -- and a short stint on the AllegroCL

Can you describe what the contraption looks like? Is it pretty much like the Google Car but a tripod on wheels instead?

“And it’s type system and object model are better than CL anyway. ” Would be nice if you could expand on this, as it surprises me that an [ex-]Lisper would not prefer CLOS above all! :) Also, we call it Lisp nowadays. <g>

I think in this context, "living legally" means you are not Out-of-status by overstaying an I-94, issued to you by the USCIS (fka INS) officer at the point of entry. IANAL.

From the post, that is not clear. It opens with "After living legally in the United States for over 20 years [...]" From the case file, however, it seems like they entered with a J-1 visa and before their authorization to stay expired, they

"Just how quickly this was built (really, it was quick)" Wouldn't this have to be thanks to their relatively recent ITA acquisition? Not too surprised since QPX runs a few popular websites such as Orbitz and Kayak. (I'm not saying it's not

Right. I use RFZ and I assume only people who are current and can afford making more than minimum payments can take full advantage of RFZ. Also, it currently focuses on getting rid of Credit Card debt, using a high-interest-first strategy.
