I'm not fully clear on this. Is this a quant trading benchmark for LLMs or a RL env?

What evidence are there that this statistical gap in AI enthusiasm shouldn't be interpreted as is? What if China IS just more enthusiastic about AI? It sounds like the author pointed out differences in surveyed enthusiasm, and then bas

Okay I see it now, but it's briefly mentioned without describing the mechanism. The author didn't annotate it the same way they annotated JEPA. I feel like LeJEPA should take precedence in the article since it supersedes JEPA.

LeCun's new paper takes a new approach to building JEPA, which he named LeJEPA -- https://arxiv.org/abs/2511.08544 It's not that different in the underlying theory but he removes the EMA and the twin tower, m

What does “inject” mean here? Iirc, Israel did something similar a while back and boosted a ton of startup early on, but they quickly died off and they realized you need the scrutiny from free market VCs to create competition. for a lot of

I’m having very mixed feelings about it. I’m using o3 to help me parse and understand a book about statistics and ML, it’s very dense in math. On one hand the answers became a lot more comprehensive and deep. It’s now able to give me very a

But it sounds like, from that quoted statement, that LeCun from Meta thinks “open sourced work” is why China was able to surpass (or at least compete with) American AIs. Which sounds like a lame excuse for Meta.

I don’t buy this at all. If DeepSeek can surpass proprietary models by “profiting” from open research and open source, why couldn’t the proprietary models do the same? Companies making proprietary models have the advantage of using w/e

Swift needs to figure out what it wants to do and stick to it. Too many syntactic sugar and too many half baked concepts pushed through the door.
