I'm not sure an entirely separate mechanism is needed to achieve Zulip-style threading, though? Seems like the current thread design could easily be adapted to support named threads. Does Zulip support nested threads?

The bank and the game are far less important than me retaining full control of a general-purpose computing device and sensor that I keep by my side for a majority of the time and trust in the most intimate parts of my home. This is also

That is partially my argument, but not entirely. I'm rather arguing that even if you're using upstream services, you still want to have full and total control and ownership of the device you're using the upstream service from

The API is called Insertable Streams. It's not actually supposed to be Chrome-specific, others are just lagging in implementing it. Element has native E2EE for 1-to-1 calls, but uses Jitsi for group calls. Native E2EE group calls actua

It has me doubting its accuracy when it calls Element "Riot". I'm also not quite clear why it splits up encrypted vs P2P messaging when encryption and decentralization are two separate concepts.

I think that people that dislike monads mostly fall in one of two categories: those that know about a fancier alternative such as algebraic effects and those that are scared off by an alien-looking unfamiliar concept. Those two groups are m

I think you're missing the point. The problem of colour is not a problem of limitations. It is indeed a good idea to limit your functions to the least required amount of power via the type system. One great way of achieving this is usi
