Most of the maker companies have their own Arduino-compatible devices nowadays, along with their own ecosystem. Here's a couple that I found from companies I've experience with and enjoyed. Seeed Studio has their Grove ecosystem.

I'm amazed more people don't push this. Germany's bottle laws (weaker now than they once were) was a clear step in the right direction. I'd love to see something similar for everything I consume.

What you're saying really can be summed up in that last paragraph; we've invested a lot into car-centric infrastructure amd it'll take time, effort, and sacrifices in the short-term to build something new. I don't blame

Yeah, and some people will decline. I'd rather be harassed than tracked.

Ring fencing funds could be a real issue for Mozilla. They desperately need new revenue streams to support their primary product (the Firefox browser) since it's non- revenue earning. I wouldn't mind these funds going towards Fire

We use this at my workplace. It provides a really nice API. We've used Axios for years, like most people, but switched to Ky since it's Fetch-based.

The old service I have with rates is my (old) mobile subscription. They would text me when I reached certain reasonable milestones and again when I passed a user-defined milestone. My water utility will call me when my water usage spikes. T

Could be a PITA with a DIP switch; they can be fiddley. To actually broadcast all the codes in IR would take seconds, though.

I love this! Tailwind has been a genuine revelation for me; moving away from CSS and provind styles that "just work" is fantastic. CSS in email was the last area I had to use regular-old CSS.

Absolutely! A great suggestion. Even more important for countries with multiple dominant languages. Switzerland comes to mind: four official languages, a pretty even split between French, German, and Italian, and a large number of non-nativ

Those prices are crazy! I can get 2Gbps for around 60$ in central europe. Network upgrades planned for July will raise that to 10-25Gbps for the same cost, depending on region. That said, I've also spent 100$ on 500Mb in the next town

Migrating to another email provider might be a pain when it comes to importing older mailbox content, but any of the alternative email providers would be way cheaper in the long run. I use Protonmail for myself and around 5 others, with clo

Subject matter aside, the author of the article uses the term URL a few times but doesn't seem to know what it means. Curious for an "internet historian".

I completely agree. The one-year release cadence for JS has been amazing and it's a much-needed improvement over the one every few years model they used to follow. More importantly though, I think JS has really benefitted from small im

Absolutely! Being related isn't enough to be sure that nothing malicious is happening. Also, without the account holder opting in, there could be things left behind they'd rather not share.

If I can't drop everything, fly abroad, and disappear into the wild because my boss needs me to do something, then I'm at work. Everything else is just an excuse to pay me less whilst still taking a tole on me mentally.

That greatly depends on your grades and grade history. If an applicant has high grades, meets the entry requirements, and shows a consistently high grade history, they won't be asked. It really depends on how much information the Uni h
