I believe the Wipeout soundtrack was a introduction to 'real' electronic music to a lot of kids/teens at the time, including me. The instrumental version of Firestarter is forever embedded in my memories ;-)

Wow, I just read your comment but even without doing so, this is exactly what I did last weekend! Loaded 4+ years of crypto market data into a database using python+some binance api, so that I can feed the historic data for backtesting/

How far are we from just having very nice and power efficient arm computers and laptops? I don't care about the X86 legacy, if I want something there I can simply buy a machine with that processor. I just want a beefy ATX form factor P

Did you code the stuff yourself? How did you start? I am looking forward to writing my own stuff. I found that some exchanges like OKX/OKEX have APIs that allow you to algorithmically trade.

I'd be comfortable with a halfway approach to this article. - Ship and implement as much as you want when you need tight control. - But build on solid foundations which are already well established, so that you don't end up reinve

I guess you are correct and I agree with your reasoning, but one thing I'd like to add to the discussion as a point is that it's difficult to measure in a scientific way the proportion of people that 'state' they wa

I am a backend engineer by trade, and I have been trying to learn me a little React because I decided I should learn new tech (not the stuff I use on a daily basis, which is Python) on side projects. So the backend is being done in Rust, an

Sorry, but this is a rant. I am deeply saddened by the current state of affairs in the web today. in Javascript right now there are so many layers upon layers upon layers of DSLs and mannerisms on top of questionable language features which

I don't think it's fair since both cables aren't tangled in the same way. There needs to be a DSL or something for describing cable turns and moves so that one could reproducibly recreate the runs used for the competitions :)

Great. I have heard "anecdata evidence" that sometimes poetry fails to install a combination of packages or something along those lines, did you find any of those shenanigans in your own experience?

Genuine question: If I am starting a Python project NOW, which one do I use? I have been using pipenv for quite some time and it works great but locking speed has been problematic, specially after your project grows large enough (minutes wa
