It sounds like you can design a login provider around that: direct to login site with a return address, confirm with user they want to log in, post back to return address with token that allows site to query login provider.

I mean, it’s easy to say that OO is useless when you come up with a code example that doesn’t use features unique (or uniquely convenient) to OO languages. Throw in some inheritance or interfaces and it’ll be very different.

You can produce two signed binaries, one for <10.11 that is signed with a SHA-1 and one for newer systems that is signed with SHA-256. Your update framework would have to know which one to pull, but that seems surmountable.

The original Rosetta couldn’t do it, or couldn’t do some part of it. I remember because Sixtyforce couldn’t run. I believe that it could have to do with self-modifying code.
