Thinking about this, Matasano turns out to be a rather good name for your company. After all, your services are about trying to "kill the healthy" system, so to speak.

It´s good to know semantic differences between Spanish speaking countries. Here, talking from the south of Spain, matasano rarely refers to the "quackery" sense.

Out of context, but I couldn´t resist. "Matasano" is one of my favorite words in Spanish, not for its meaning, but for how it sounds. Anyway, here is the meaning: mata=kill sano=healthy So, literally it means to "kill the hea

Fully agree; more formally he is doing - at least - a couple of logical fallacies: 1. Ad Hominem, that is, a personal attack. 2. Appeal authority, although in this case he did not even mention a specific authority.

Indeed. Wording is important. I meant that the known mechanism that you have mentioned does not explain all its reported benefits. Specifically in the anti-inflammatory effect, it seems like inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis (via COX en

What I find interesting about aspirin is that no one really knows how it works (its "mechanism of action"). Its anti-inflamatory effects are a consequence of something else, not the cause. In the book "Power, Sex, Suicide&quo

Uhmm, looking at all the comments to my initial comment, I think this has gone offtrack: - I am not against running, but I consider weight lifting a necessary addition to it. - I am not talking about lowering body fat or aesthetics. I am ta

You are implying something that I didn´t mean. This is not about weight lifting vs running. Anand is already running and I suggested him to add some weight training to gain some lean mass, as his BF level (19%) is a little high, possibly du

It´s great to see a direct to consumer lab service in Europe. Congrats. I haven´t seen info on how are you measuring magnesium levels, or more specifically, why do you think that your chosen method is the right one ?

Muscle mass is a metabolic master regulator: - It allows fast glucose clearance from blood via both insulin and non-insulin glucose transport. - It drives bone density by pure mechanical tension. More muscle = stronger bones/tendons to

I miss some important stats: - Your height. To calculate your BMI and contrast it with your Body Fat %. To be a runner, your BF% is high, but I cannot see whether it is because lack of muscle ("skinny fat") or excess of body fat.
