I think the trick is in creating a rock solid "proof of" mechanism. Something that can be used for all different sorts of extraction technologies.

My solution is I read the Economist and the Sunday NYT (which admittedly skews too much these days but then I guess so do I). The 1 week lag gives things time to settle. And I love the ritual of the paper.
